We have identified a bug in the application which may affect the SKIN (Software Application Interface) and the RECORD function in the application. Please see below for additional details on each features affected by this bug and instructions on how to resolve the current problem.

Record (My Samples Folder) Error

User’s ability to successfully RECORD their voice into the application is affected by this bug. It blocks the program from creating a “My Samples” folder in the music sample library.
The source of this problem is caused by a Windows security policy granting limited permissions on the program directories. To resolve this issue, please follow the steps below.

  1. Locate The Music Producer installation folder: C:\Program Files\The Music Producer
  2. Right click on Samples, select “Properties”
  3. Select the “Security” tab and then click on the “Edit” button
  4. Highlight User
  5. Under “Permissions for Users” check Allow/Full Control and then OK

Skin (Installation) Error

After installing the new release of The Music Producer Software version 2.1, users my encounter an error where the SKIN (Software Application Interface) of the application is not updated. This error is due to an incomplete un-installation of the previous version of The Music Producer 2.0. To resolve this issue, follow the steps below. Please see screenshot images for the correct (New) SKIN of The Music Producer 2.1.

  1. Launch The Music Producer program and click the “CONFIG” button
  2. Click the “Change Skin” button
  3. Double click the “Skin” folder and select a new skin

The above mentioned issues are currently being worked on.
